LinkedIn has just launched an important new feature on their “Job Search” screen. You can now filter your searches based on five “commitments”:
⚖️ work-life balance,
☮️ diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI),
📚 career growth and learning,
❤️ social impact, and
🌎 environmental sustainability.
You might be wondering, “But Ashley, how do I know if a company is actually committed to these values?” LinkedIn’s “Commitments” feature requires organizations to back up their claims with solid evidence. To show their commitment to one of more of these values, companies need to upload and display corroborating evidence such as annual reports, corporate policies, and news articles.
With all of the change and unrest that the last few years has thrown at us, people are starting to take stock of their lives, and I’ve noticed a growing trend in individuals who want to work for companies that share their values. This new LinkedIn feature provides an excellent opportunity for job seekers to find, interview with, and (hopefully🤞) work for organizations that align with their personal beliefs.
🌿Happy job searching!
